I have never laughed so much during a photo shoot as I did with this family! They are lovely people and I really liked hanging out with them. And, that big guy, Mike, has a non-ending wit and crazy sense of humor...I had to throw out half the shots I took because I was either laughing too hard at the running commentary happening behind my back or Mike was striking a...let's just say, "non-conventional pose" his mom probably didn't want to hang above the mantle! In the end, I caught enough moments of him behaving to make mom smile. And, Mike, I'm already looking forward to next year's session, so start gathering your material! Mr. Jim & Mrs. Jessica + kids

This sassy red-head happens to be one of my favorite people on the planet! I've had a lot of practice photographing her family and am thrilled each time to do so. (In fact, we joke that her house should be my business gallery as so many of her walls are covered with my work!) I had a ball this particular morning shooting the family all together--they were game for anything I wanted to try (except maybe littlest lady--she wasn't too sure she was in the mood for a photo shoot that day. No matter, I still managed to catch that sweet smile of hers!)

It's My Party...

There isn't much that can make a group of 12-year-old girls more giddy than a tower of rock star cupcakes, rhinestone lipstick pens, microphone lip glosses, a beauty guide, sweet little bracelets, a "backstage" VIP pass, a couple of neon hair extensions and some dainty earrings! I had a blast celebrating my tweener's birthday...and I think the girls had a pretty good time, too! (And, yes, I know there are THREE photos of the cupcakes...what can I say? I'm a little obsessed with these heavenly confections from The Sweet Tooth Fairy Bakery!)
